Today you may be irked by the seemingly flippant attitude of someone you encounter. What might seem like a life-or-death matter to you will be no big deal to this person, and if you let it, it’ll infuriate you.
What you must remember is you can’t control the attitude and outlook of other people. You can only control how you perceive the situation at hand. While this person might seem irresponsible, even a joker, his or her response to what you’re going through is of no real importance. What counts is how you’re handling things. Don’t get sidetracked by others, stay focused and stay the course.
Like water off a duck’s back, let frustrating encounters with other people today roll off and wash away. Don’t divert your energy. You need it.

Today may also be a day when you begin to consider shaking things up with a change of scenery. The energy tends to be more intense than merely enjoying a getaway – today options may arise that encourage you to make a permanent change of residence. Don’t be scared – if you’re one of the many for whom this train of thought will emerge today, it’s emerging for a reason. Let the thoughts come and give them full consideration. Life’s too short not to adore where we are.

July 15, 2010 Expect Communication to Wear You Out
Don’t be surprised if today – indeed, the rest of the week – is a superbly frustrating time for communication.
It’s not so much that you have difficulty conveying your thoughts effectively, although there might be a bit of that…it’s that you may find yourself feeling sick and tired of talking! The silence that results may feel awkward and you will likely feel pressured to speak what’s on your mind even though you don’t really want to.
My advice? Save yourself the trouble. Don’t answer the phone if you don’t feel like talking (as long as it’s not a critical call, like work or an emergency). Don’t launch your Internet chat programs. Delay unimportant e-mails. Ask for a rain check on a night out. Take this time for you – you don’t always have to be a social butterfly!
When it comes to intimate discussions, such as conversations had with those you can’t so readily avoid or may not want to avoid (a spouse, a roommate, etc.) be civil, but don’t be afraid to say “honey, I’m really exhausted and I just don’t feel like talking about this right now”. Maybe tomorrow you can revisit the issue with a clearer mind and more energy.

Who says 13 is unlucky?
Today, July 13th 2010, will be a day of unexpected prosperity. Whether it’s a job offer you didn’t think would come through, a bank error in your favor, a great day for tax deductions, a generous financial gift, or just a dollar bill on the sidewalk…today the universe will be sending good financial vibrations your way.
Keep your eyes open and stay alert to the offerings. And no gift is too small when it comes to cosmic attention. If you find a penny on the ground in your parking space, it’s the money magic of today working its way into your life! Pick up the penny, tuck it in your wallet, and wait for greater fortune that will surely come your way.
And with unexpected prosperity it’s always nice to engage in random acts of charity. If you find a wad of bills on the street, think about tossing a couple into one of those charity cans/jars most shops have at the cash register…you know the kind, help for homeless animals or March of Dimes. Prosperity can be a wheel. Spin it by doing something to help others prosper, and you will find the wheel turns, gaining momentum, until it comes back to you again – this time with even greater wealth as a reward for your generosity!

July 10, 2010 Animal Oracle: Psychic Octopus Predicts World Cup
By now you’ve no doubt heard of him: Paul the Psychic Octopus, the rather adorable octopus who has thus far correctly predicted the winners of every World Cup game in this year’s World Cup tournament in South Africa.
Paul, also known as Psychic Paul, has set the Internet on fire with people scrambling for video clips of the little guy in action.
Paul operates by attaching himself to one of two flags submerged in his tank. The flag he chooses represents the country who will, at least until now, definitely win their matches.
Paul was hatched and lives in Germany, and his specific employment is as an animal oracle used to predict the outcome of games in which Germany’s team is involved. During the prediction process Paul’s given the two flags upon two boxes with food inside them, and which piece of food he chooses is his prediction.
Now the World Cup comes to a close tomorrow with Netherlands vs. Spain, and Psychic Paul’s selected the Spaniards to take it all. You can see Psychic Paul’s prediction in action at YouTube right here.
Paul’s not the only animal oracle in use for the World Cup. Mani the Parakeet of Singapore, another reportedly psychic critter, has contradicted Psychic Paul and chosen Netherlands over Spain!
